Assistant Manager, Manager, or Senior Manager Audit & Assurance, Insurance

KPMG Indonesia is expanding its Insurance Audit & Assurance team and is seeking experienced professionals at the Assistant Manager, Manager, and Senior Manager levels. Candidates should have strong external audit experience in the insurance sector, supported by a sound understanding of insurance products, industry practices, applicable regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

Your Role

Depending on your experience and level, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing audit engagements for insurance clients.
• Leading engagement planning, risk assessment, execution, completion, and reporting.
• Reviewing financial statements, audit documentation, and significant accounting judgments.
• Addressing complex insurance accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting matters, including IFRS 17.
• Evaluating key business processes, internal controls, and risks relevant to insurance companies.
• Coordinating with client management, actuarial specialists, internal experts, and other engagement stakeholders.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and communicating audit matters clearly and professionally.
• Coaching and developing engagement team members.
• Supporting the delivery of high-quality audits in accordance with applicable professional standards and firm requirements.
• Contributing to the continued growth and development of our insurance practice.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of relevant external audit experience for Assistant Manager, 6+ years for Manager, and 8+ years for Senior Manager.
• Strong external audit experience in the insurance sector.
• Good understanding of the insurance industry, including insurance products, business models, distribution channels, key business processes, and industry risks.
• Familiarity with OJK regulations and regulatory reporting requirements applicable to insurance companies, including Risk-Based Capital, solvency requirements, and other key regulatory indicators.
• Good understanding of auditing standards, insurance accounting, and financial reporting requirements.
• Practical experience with IFRS 17 is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading audit engagements and managing interactions with senior client stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
