As a Assistant Manager Legal, you will:
- Manage and oversee the Company's litigation and non-litigation matters, including civil, criminal, employment, and business disputes.
- Handle the end-to-end litigation process, including legal assessment, legal opinion, warning letters, claims, responses, mediation, and court proceedings.
- Develop appropriate legal strategies and dispute resolution approaches to minimize the Company's legal exposure and potential business risks.
- Coordinate with external lawyers, law firms, legal consultants, government authorities, and other external parties in handling legal matters.
- Review and prepare legal documents, correspondence, agreements, and other documents related to litigation and legal disputes.
- Monitor the progress of ongoing cases and ensure proper management of legal documents, evidence, case records, and litigation databases.
- Provide legal advice and recommendations to Management and relevant business units regarding potential legal risks and appropriate mitigation actions.
- Monitor and manage legal claims, complaints, disputes, and potential litigation involving the Company.
- Support dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, and litigation proceedings, as required.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Legal Officers/Legal Staff in handling legal matters and litigation cases.
- Ensure the Company's business activities and decisions comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law from a reputable university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Legal, with strong exposure to litigation and dispute resolution.
- Advocate certification/licensed advocate experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of civil, criminal, employment, and commercial litigation, including legal notices, claims, mediation, and court proceedings.
- Proven experience in preparing legal opinions, legal memorandums, legal notices, claims, responses, and other legal documents.
- Experienced in working with external lawyers/law firms and managing corporate legal disputes.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian laws and regulations relevant to business operations.
- Strong legal research, analytical thinking, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, high integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple cases and priorities, and provide practical legal solutions to the business.
- Experience in FMCG, beauty, retail, consumer goods, or other fast-paced industries is preferred.
