Do you enjoy being at the centre of an operation, where guest experience, team performance, and commercial results come together
As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to lead the venue's daily operations. You will be present on the floor, guide department leaders, respond to guest needs, and ensure every service runs safely, efficiently, and consistently.
This is a hands-on leadership role with meaningful involvement in people development, operational standards, revenue performance, and cost control.
What You'll Experience
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Take a visible leadership role in a fast-moving hospitality venue
- Influence the guest experience from arrival through departure
- Lead and develop teams across Front of House, Bar, Kitchen, and supporting functions
- Contribute to revenue, cost management, and overall venue performance
- Work closely with Marketing, Events, Finance, HR, and other internal teams
- Support special events, activations, and high-volume operations
- Prepare for broader venue leadership responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
You will support the General Manager in overseeing daily venue operations, preparing the team for service, and ensuring that staffing, equipment, products, and facilities are ready.
During service, you will remain visible on the floor, monitor guest flow and service quality, coordinate department leaders, and resolve operational or guest-related concerns. You will also ensure that opening, closing, cash-handling, health and safety, and other operational controls are followed consistently.
Beyond daily service, you will review revenue, labour, costs, guest feedback, and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement. You will help recruit, train, coach, and evaluate team members while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and hospitality.
In the General Manager's absence, you will take responsibility for the overall operation and act as the venue's senior leader on duty.
