Deborah Iskandar, the owner and President Director, has invested her network and experience in Southeast Asian art and has an intense passion for Indonesian contemporary art for over two decades. The Gallery space at Wisma 46 focuses on curated exhibitions championing female Southeast Asian artists.

ISA Art & Design also provides art consultancy services, assisting private viewing space at NODE, Jl. Wijaya Timur Raya No. 12. ISA is a one-stop solution to bridging the two worlds of art and design.

ISA Art Gallery is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Exhibitions Manager to join our team. 

What you will do

• Assist and oversee entire exhibition process from the initial planning process to artwork installation and dismantling
• Be involved in organizing and preparing logistics and technical implementation of ISA Art Gallery exhibitions and programs
• Work with artists and artist's studios to ensure preparations for each artwork meet the artist's requirement and specification
• Work closely with Exhibition Manager to coordinate opportunities for ISA Represented Artists, specifically in Art Fairs, Biennales, Residencies, etc.
• Participate in administrations, operations and scheduling of Exhibitions and Programs
• Keep track of ISA represented artist's programs and exhibitions both locally and internationally
• Write ISA's monthly newsletter as well as curatorial texts for exhibitions
• Participate in Sales of Artworks

What We're Looking for

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Art/Design or its equivalent
• Previous experience as a coordinator specializing in arts/creative or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in designing and producing exhibitions for galleries, museums and/or other art institutions
• Knowledge of and active interest in visual arts
• Have aesthetic appeal in communicating ISA Art Gallery's message, concept and image to visitors
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, verbal and written
• Excellent communication skills for in person meetings, email and phone calls
• Well organized with high attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva
