We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Commercial Finance Manager to join our Finance team and play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth across the business. As a strategic finance partner to Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, and Tax teams, you will provide financial leadership on pricing, margin optimization, business planning, and value creation initiatives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence commercial decision-making, enhance profitability, strengthen pricing and transfer pricing governance, and optimize working capital performance within one of the world's leading oleochemical businesses.
What You'll Do
Drive Enterprise Performance Management
- Lead target setting, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and performance reviews.
- Provide actionable insights through variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure governance and performance tracking are aligned with UOI and Unilever standards.
Lead S&OP and Business Profitability
- Act as the Finance Business Partner for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Drive end-to-end P&L planning, forecasting, and profitability optimization.
- Analyze volume, margin, and cost trade-offs to support business decision-making.
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve yield, plant utilization, inventory management, and operational efficiencies.
Strengthen Commercial Finance & Pricing Governance
- Support profitability improvement initiatives and working capital optimization.
- Ensure strong pricing governance and margin discipline across the business.
- Translate feedstock economics into pricing strategies and commercial recommendations.
- Deliver financial insights that support profitable growth and strategic customer decisions.
Ensure Transfer Pricing & Value Chain Excellence
- Manage transfer pricing governance, compliance, and documentation requirements.
- Partner with Tax and Supply Chain Finance teams to ensure economic alignment across entities.
- Support audits, policy reviews, and continuous process improvements.
- Help maintain a robust and compliant vertically integrated business model.
Drive Cash & Working Capital Performance
- Lead initiatives to improve: Inventory Management, Trade Receivables, Trade Payables
- Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Operations, and Finance teams to strengthen cash flow performance.
- Partner with AR/AP teams to improve collections, reduce overdues, and optimize payment cycles.
What We're Looking For :
- Willing to relocated and work from Sei Mangkei
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
- Strong experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Business Partnering, Financial Controlling, or Supply Chain Finance.
- Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to transform data into business actions.
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing, working capital management, and pricing strategies is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
