The Assistant Chief Engineer supports in overseeing the daily operations of the Engineering Department, ensuring the efficient maintenance and operation of all hotel facilities, equipment, and engineering systems. The role supervises preventive and corrective maintenance, engineering projects, team performance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives while supporting budget control, asset management, and guest satisfaction. The Assistant Chief Engineer also prepares operational and maintenance reports for hotel management and corporate engineering teams, ensuring compliance with brand standards and organizational objectives.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in engineering within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of building systems including Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, Fire & Life Safety system, generator, pump, and water treatment systems
- Experienced in preventive maintenance planning, asset management, and project coordination
- Good understanding of local government regulations, occupational health & safety standard, and resort/hotel compliance requirements
