Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We're looking for a Junior AI Engineer to join one of Bukalapak's growing business ventures. In this role, you'll develop and implement AI-powered solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI applications, build intelligent solutions, and integrate AI capabilities into business and technology systems.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for internal and customer-facing applications.
• Build and enhance AI assistants and intelligent automation solutions to support business operations and customer interactions.
• Develop AI features integrated with POS and other operational systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop impactful AI use cases.
• Build LLM-powered applications using modern AI frameworks and APIs.
• Develop chatbot, recommendation engine, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Optimize AI models for performance, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
• Monitor AI system performance and continuously improve model quality.
• Document AI architecture, workflows, and implementation standards.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering.
• Experience with modern AI frameworks and APIs such as Claude, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and AI agents.
• Understanding of cloud services and API integration.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for leveraging AI to solve real-world business problems.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
