Job Description

Department: Marketing & Sales

Role: Permanent

Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager

The incumbent will oversee all facets of field sales operations and manage relationships with local and national distributor partners. They will drive the execution of field marketing by implementing marketing and sales strategies aimed at achieving Sales KPIs, sustaining a healthy and profitable business for both JTI and its distributor partners, and ensuring trade and field marketing goals are met within specific distributor clusters in high-potential regions.

As the Area Sales Lead, you will:

Direct Sales Operations

  • Manage the implementation direct sales strategy to ensure sales KPI within assigned Area are achieved.
  • Manage the execution of sales operational excellence, monitor & control the implementation to ensure compliance to sales business process.
  • Implement channel interaction & coverage management strategy within assigned Area to establish linkage between channels.

Distributor Management

  • Implement distributor management strategy to influence and develop local / national distributor partners, ensuring sales & commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor distributor partners business performance, identify room for improvement and provide suggestions to provide continuous improvement.
  • Assess potential distributor partners for JTI Indonesia based on coverage & portfolio strategy, propose recruitment of potential partners and/or closure when applicable.

People Management

  • Sets, monitor & review individual & team development plans.
  • Provide people development interventions (e.g., coaching, mentoring, counseling) to build team capability & motivation.
  • Ensure team members compliance to company's regulations and agreed business process.

Field Marketing

  • Establish an effective and efficient marketing demand creation programs plan (Opplan) in area level in alignment with Marketing HO Team to achieve commercial and portfolio objectives.
  • Ensure implementation of trade & field marketing initiatives are executed accordingly to guidance for respective areas to achieve commercial and portfolio objectives.
  • Conduct regular evaluation of customer program implementation results in respective areas to provide input and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in any major
  • Minimum 5-7 years in relevant experience with proven track record in sales, channel management, distribution management, sales business process, trade & field marketing including the commercial aspect such logistic and warehousing management.
  • Experienced in leading sales teams with a proven track record of effective leadership in both direct and indirect business models.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Manado, North Sulawesi, and frequently travel for business purposes.
