Mission of the Role
The Area Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all operational activities within the assigned area, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and client requirements. This role is accountable for operational performance, resource planning, client relationship management, and the effective supervision of field personnel.
Working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders, the Area Manager plays a key role in maintaining service quality, supporting business growth, and strengthening Cotecna's presence within the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all operational activities within the assigned area to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery.
- Plan, coordinate, and optimize manpower, equipment, and operational resources to meet client requirements.
- Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to achieve productivity, quality, and service objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government authorities, business partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, applicable regulations, and HSE standards.
- Supervise, coach, and develop operational personnel to enhance competency and operational effectiveness.
- Support business development activities by identifying business opportunities and providing operational input for new projects and tenders.
- Prepare operational reports, analyze performance, and provide recommendations to Management for continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marine, Agriculture, Science, Business, Management, or other related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry, including experience in operational leadership or supervisory roles.
- Experience in Agriculture, Coal, or Mineral inspection is preferred.
- Good understanding of operational practices, inspection processes, and the business environment within the assigned area.
- Well-established network with clients, government institutions, port authorities, and other relevant stakeholders is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of Bahasa Indonesia and English.
