Job Description

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving merchant acquisition growth, managing sales productivity, and leading field teams within your assigned territory.

Beyond sales leadership, this role also serves as an Area Expansion Manager, responsible for building operational readiness in new markets, ensuring fast merchant onboarding, and enabling device delivery within targeted service levels.

What you'll do

Sales Leadership

  • Own sales performance and merchant acquisition targets within the assigned area.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Sales Executives.
  • Drive daily execution discipline and productivity improvement.
  • Monitor conversion rates, activity metrics, and business performance.

Territory Management

  • Identify, prioritize, and develop high-potential acquisition territories.
  • Conduct merchant density analysis and market mapping.
  • Optimize sales deployment and territory coverage.
  • Build localized growth strategies based on market opportunities.

Channel Management

  • Manage acquisition channels within the region.
  • Optimize channel productivity and merchant acquisition efficiency.
  • Identify and develop local partnerships that accelerate growth.

People Management

  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing field teams.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and talent development initiatives.
  • Build a strong culture of accountability, execution, and continuous improvement.

Area Expansion & Operations

  • Lead expansion into new territories and cities.
  • Assess operational requirements including:
  • Warehouse setup
  • Inventory readiness
  • Distribution infrastructure
  • Delivery operations
  • Work closely with Operations teams to ensure merchants receive devices within D+1 delivery SLA.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks impacting growth.

Business Development & Market Intelligence

  • Gather field insights and market intelligence.
  • Provide recommendations on expansion opportunities, product improvements, and operational enhancements.
  • Represent BukuPay in local business communities and strategic partnerships.

What you'll need

  • Preferably 5–10 years of experience in: Area Management, Regional Sales Management, Branch Management, Territory Expansion
  • Experience leading field sales organizations
  • Proven track record of delivering aggressive growth targets
  • Strong understanding of: Territory Management, Channel Management, People Leadership, Sales Operations, Distribution & Logistics
  • Willing to be placed in Bandung or Surabaya
