Responsibilities:
- Perform manual QA testing on web and mobile applications.
- Test new features, verify bug fixes, and identify edge cases.
- Write clear, structured bug reports with reproduction steps, screenshots, and expected behavior.
- Assist in maintaining API documentation and internal technical documentation.
- Help ensure basic coding and documentation standards are followed.
- Communicate with clients to understand reported issues and clarify symptoms.
- Follow up on bug status and keep records organized and up to date.
- Work closely with engineers, product, and QA to support smooth issue resolution.
- Use tools like ClickUp, Postman, and documentation platforms to track work clearly.
- Learn how real software products are tested, maintained, and supported in production.
Qualifications:
Must-haves
- Strong attention to detail you notice inconsistencies and small issues.
- Basic understanding of how software works (frontend, backend, APIs at a conceptual level).
- Familiarity with REST APIs and basic API concepts (endpoints, requests, responses).
- Comfortable communicating with clients in a clear, polite, and professional manner.
- Able to document issues clearly and follow structured processes.
- Willingness to learn fast and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
Highly valued
- Experience with manual QA testing (academic, internship, or personal projects).
- Familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger, or API documentation platforms.
- Basic understanding of software development workflows (Git, environments, staging vs production).
- Experience writing documentation, SOPs, or technical notes.
