Role Overview

The Payment Screening Analyst ensures that all payment transactions comply with internal standards and global regulatory requirements. The role focuses on reviewing transactions flagged by screening systems and supporting the company's efforts to mitigate sanctions and financial crime risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review payment transactions flagged by screening systems (e.g., sanctions, PEPs, adverse media).
  • Investigate and analyze alerts to identify true matches vs. false positives.
  • Conduct due diligence using internal tools and external databases (e.g., global watchlists, public sources).
  • Escalate confirmed matches or suspicious cases to Compliance or relevant teams as per internal procedures.
  • Document investigation findings clearly, accurately, and in an audit-ready manner.
  • Ensure timely resolution of alerts in line with internal SLA to support smooth business operations.
  • Maintain awareness of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions updates, and internal compliance policies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally when additional information or clarification is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Open for fresh graduates; prior experience or internship in AML, Compliance, Financial Crime, or Banking is an advantage.
  • Prior knowledge of AML/CFT concepts, sanctions, or screening tools is preferred (training will be provided).
  • Strong command of English is a must (both written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly grasp new systems and regulatory concepts.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict SLAs.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Willing to work in shifting schedules, (off days will fall on weekdays; not fixed Saturday–Sunday).
  • Able to join immediately.
