Job Scope:

Responsible for monthly reporting, business planning and financial forecasting for EV IF metrics. Leading a team of 3, he/she would be responsible to manage the EV IF results production, communicate the business decision & financial impact to local & group management including auditor, and streamline the respective reporting process for efficiency purpose.

Responsibilities:

1. BAU Monthly Reporting & Planning

  • Lead the team to generate monthly IF reporting and project IF key metrics (i.e. OEV/Operating Experience Variances, OFSG/Operating Free Surplus Generation & EV Profit) for business planning & financial forecasting.
  • Ensure robustness of processes, accuracy of results and timely delivery.
  • Engage with other stakeholders (e.g. Finance/Accounting, Budget, Other Actuarial Teams: Experience Study, Local, Channel Profitability) to understand the key drivers behind EV Analysis of Movement.
  • Communicate the IF key results to local & group management, and internal/external auditors, with clear explanation & supporting justifications.
  • Perform EV IF performance tracking & provide insights to local management.

2. Process & Methodology Improvement

  • Manage EV IF reporting process automation.
  • Manage EV IF methodology refinement & key metrics optimization, including alignment with local & group management.

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years experience in actuarial functions with significant experience in EV reporting (new business or in-force).
  • Fellow of the local actuarial society (FSAI), or Associate/Fellow of the international actuarial society (FSA, FIA, FIAA).
  • Strong technical actuarial skills.
  • Leadership and people management capability, including effective coaching and development for team members.
  • Ability to drive change and improve processes and resource planning.
  • Experience of operating in Life Insurance business.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand financial statements and reports.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator (oral and written) and fluent in English.
  • Sufficient knowledge of insurance product & cashflows and actuarial modeling (including SQL, DCS, & Prophet).
