About the Job

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you are responsible to manage tenant billing and collections within a retail mall environment. This role focuses primarily on ensuring timely collection of rental, service charge, promotional levy, utilities, turnover rent, and other related charges from retail tenants.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor tenant accounts to ensure timely payment of rent, CAM charges, utilities, and other fees.
  • Proactively follow up on overdue accounts via phone calls, emails, and formal notices.
  • Issue reminder letters, demand notices, and statements of account.
  • Negotiate and structure payment plans where appropriate.
  • Escalate delinquent accounts to management or legal representatives when required.
  • Maintain detailed records of all collection activities.
  • Generate and distribute invoices, rental statements, and debit notes.
  • Allocate incoming payments accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile tenant ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process credit notes, adjustments, and refunds as needed.
  • Prepare monthly AR aging reports and highlight high-risk accounts.
  • Respond to tenant queries related to billing and payments.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly collection performance reports.
  • Assist with month-end closing and audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with lease agreements and company credit policies.
  • Support legal proceedings related to debt recovery when necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or finance support role, preferably with a focus on collection.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
