Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic individuals to join KPMG's Finance/Accounting team. As part of KPMG's central services, you will play a vital role in supporting the firm's financial/account health through analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives.

This position provides hands-on experience across various finance functions and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to business growth and informed decision-making.

What you will do:

  • Receive and review vendor invoices, verifying all required approvals and supporting documents through a three-way matching process.
  • Assess whether invoices are subject to withholding tax (WHT) and request the supporting documents required for tax clearance.
  • Ensure that reviewed and approved vendor invoices submitted via the in-house system, including all applicable tax and compliance information, are accurately and timely interfaced into the financial system.
  • Maintain invoice tracking records in Excel, verify invoice details, and upload invoice information into the financial system for processing.
  • Ensure the proper and complete filing of all vendor-related documents.
  • Record accrued expenses in accordance with applicable SOPs to ensure that expenses are recognized in the correct accounting period.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable records against vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist and coordinate with vendors and internal teams during the new-vendor onboarding process.
  • Handle vendor inquiries.

Desired skills & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 1-2 Years of experience in AP or a similar finance role is preferred, particularly in a consulting, corporate, or banking environment.
  • Strong logical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead effective discussions with professionals at all levels and with external parties.
  • Proactive, highly motivated, and self-disciplined, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet established goals and objectives within specified deadlines, and consistently maintain high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Experience with SAP accounting system.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
