About The Role
We are looking for a driven Accounting and Taxation Associate with 1–3 years of full-time working experience to support FLIN Indonesia's finance team. This is not an entry-level or fresh-graduate role — we need someone who can operate with minimal supervision on day-to-day bookkeeping, taxation, and payment operations. This role reports directly to the Accounting & Finance Manager and serves as the operational backbone of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Closing Support — Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliation schedules; maintain closing trackers and audit-ready documentation to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable — Own the AP/AR function end-to-end: record invoices and payments in Xero, maintain aging schedules, monitor due dates, reconcile sub-ledgers against the General Ledger, and coordinate with vendors on payment scheduling.
- Lending Portfolio Accounting Support — Assist with loan disbursement and repayment entries, maintain accrued interest and deferred fee records, and prepare data inputs for reconciliations between the Loan Management System, Metabase, and General Ledger.
- Financial Controls & Reconciliation — Perform monthly bank reconciliations, reconcile collections against the customer ledger, and ensure no items remain unexplained beyond 30 days.
- Taxation — Support monthly and annual Indonesian tax compliance including PPN, PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 25, and PPh 29; maintain a tax filing calendar and coordinate with the external tax consultant.
- Treasury & Cash Flow Support — Maintain daily/weekly cash balance trackers, assist with FX entries and multi-currency transactions in Xero, and prepare disbursement schedules for management review.
- Audit & Statutory Compliance — Prepare and organize supporting schedules and documentation for external audit requirements and statutory filings including OJK reporting.
- Process Improvement — Build and maintain trackers and dashboards for AP/AR aging and cash positions; suggest process improvements and assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and Excel modelling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CA/CPA is preferable; Brevet A/B is an advantage
- 1–3 years of full-time experience in accounting, finance, or taxation (internship experience does not count)
- Hands-on experience with AP/AR processes as maker/preparer is required
- Experience with Indonesian taxation (PPN, PPh monthly/annual filing) is highly valued
- Experience in fintech, banking, lending, or financial services is a strong advantage
- Mandatory Xero or similar cloud accounting software experience
- Highly proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliation templates)
- Good English communication skills for liaison with expatriate staff and foreign vendors
