OSL is a leading, fully regulated and licensed digital asset platform. As we continue to expand our institutional and retail digital asset services across regional markets, we are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Senior Accounting & Tax Specialist to join our Operations and Finance squad in Indonesia. This role will be pivotal in managing daily financial entries, complex multi-party reconciliations, and strict regulatory tax compliance for our expanding spot, OTC, and custody business lines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial & Accounting Operations
- Daily Ledger Management: Execute and supervise accurate daily accounting entries for multifaceted business lines, including:
- Spot exchange trading transactions and OTC block-trading activities.
- Platform revenue streams (Withdrawal/deposit fees, trading fees, market spreads, and token listing fees).
- Marketing incentives and institutional custody/wallet-related transactions.
- Month-End Closing: Prepare precise journal entries, manage monthly closing schedules, and maintain general ledger accuracy alongside robust supporting audit documentation.
- Complex Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly multi-party financial reconciliations across:
- Corporate bank accounts and payment gateway balances.
- Institutional crypto wallets, custodian balances, and direct on-chain blockchain transaction records.
- Customer liabilities against matching platform-safeguarded assets.
- Asset Safeguarding: Monitor and document off-balance sheet arrangements strictly dedicated to safeguarded client digital assets.
- Reporting & Compliance: Support the compilation of comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with IFRS and PSAK (Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards) for digital asset transactions.
2. Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
- Tax Filings: Prepare, verify, and submit accurate monthly and annual Indonesian tax filings, covering Value Added Tax (VAT / PPN), Withholding Tax (WHT / PPh), and Corporate Income Tax.
- Crypto Tax Framework: Monitor and execute dedicated crypto transaction taxes in accordance with the latest Indonesian regulatory frameworks (BAPPEBTI and Directorate General of Taxes guidelines).
- Audit & Reconciliation: Prepare detailed tax reconciliations between core accounting ledgers and submitted tax reports; actively support corporate tax audits, investigations, and queries from tax authorities.
- External Coordination: Serve as the core operational point of contact to coordinate with external tax consultants and local regulatory authorities to ensure timely payment of taxes and regulatory fees.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related fiscal discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial operations, or tax compliance.
- Industry Background: Proven experience within the Cryptocurrency, Fintech, Digital Asset Exchange, Brokerage, or Regulated Financial Services sectors is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Profound understanding of IFRS / PSAK, specific revenue recognition standards, and digital asset accounting methodologies.
- High familiarity with crypto transaction flows, commercial crypto wallets, blockchain explorers (e.g., Etherscan), and institutional custody structures.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and the local crypto-tax infrastructure.
- Systems Proficiency: Expert-level command of Microsoft Excel (Advanced modeling, formulas, and VLOOKUP/Index-Match) and modern cloud accounting tools; hands-on experience with institutional ERP systems is a distinct advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Certifications: Possession of Brevet A & B Certification is highly desirable.
- Accounting Models: Solid conceptual and practical understanding of Agency vs. Principal accounting models within financial brokerage structures.
- Operations Expertise: Direct experience handling high-volume OTC transaction flows and complex multi-currency exchange settlement operations.
