Job Description

An Accounting Specialist assists with Pinkerton's APAC offices by conducting accounting and payroll-related functions, including but not limited to; transaction processing, A/R, A/P, general ledger, billing, reporting, treasury, and admin support. Accountant processes and records weekly payroll and provides accurate financial information to employees.

Essential Functions:
  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Review, analyze, and check payroll forms and reports for accuracy and make necessary adjustments or corrections.
  3. Answer employee questions regarding timecard questions, and tax and payroll policies.
  4. Ensure hours are accurately entered into system.
    • Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  5. Provide support with completing monthly summaries and weekly budget tracking reports, as well as monitor and retain electronic copies.
  6. Track and monitor PTO for current employees.
  7. Filing all governing documents to local authorities on a monthly basis.
  8. Research invoice and payroll discrepancies and effectively communicate resolutions.
  9. Perform gross salary calculation, tax filing, tax advice, GPML, GPPL claim, NS payment, statutory benefits based upon salary/ average salary calculation, input for pricing, etc.
  10. Maintain personnel files, tax forms, compensation, benefits, attendance, performance evaluations, terminations, etc.
  11. Assist with transaction processing and document retention for cash application, administer fixed assets, A/R and A/P billing, general ledger entries, and reporting.
  12. Provide treasury support, including; daily management of cash pool and funding, foreign currency transactions, and bank account administration.
  13. Assist with month-end closing and HQ reporting process, annual statutory audit, and taxation matters.
  14. Perform accounts analysis and prepare inter-company and bank reconciliations.
  15. Conduct relevant business unit analysis and revenue and cost reporting.
  16. Office administrations including and not limited to
    • Monitoring absent card (office hours 8.30 am to 5.30 pm)
    • Analysis and announce and report to the management of monthly absent card matter.
  17. Ensure the transactions and reporting are in accordance with the prevailing standards & regulations.
  18. Gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data.
  19. Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  20. Participate in upcoming Dynamics training sessions for the regional accounting team;
    • Complete associated data entry transaction.
  21. All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
