ABOUT JOB:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller / Accounting Manager to oversee all financial and accounting operations within our Indonesia entity. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and proven leadership experience. This role will ensure financial accuracy, compliance with Indonesian regulations, and support strategic decision-making for the business.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with PSAK (Indonesian GAAP) and company standards.
- Provide detailed financial analysis, variance reports, and performance insights to management.
- Develop financial forecasts, budgeting models, and cash flow projections.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee daily accounting activities including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, and payroll coordination.
- Ensure proper documentation, reconciliations, and accounting entries.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and compliance procedures.
- Manage tax filings, VAT, corporate tax, and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure full compliance with Indonesian accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory changes impacting financial operations.
Financial Planning & Advisory
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on financial analysis and market insights.
- Support longterm financial planning, scenario modeling, and business case development.
- Evaluate financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the accounting team; ensure continuous development and training.
- Collaborate closely with crossfunctional departments, regional finance teams, and HQ.
- Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives for better efficiency and accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA/CA preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or controller position.
- Strong knowledge of PSAK, Indonesian tax regulations, and IFRS.
- Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficient with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Strong leadership, problemsolving, and stakeholder management abilities.
