Accounting Intern

About the Role

As an Accounting Intern, you will support the Finance, Accounting, & Tax team, with a primary focus on audit preparation and execution. This role provides hands-on exposure to financial documentation, accounting records, audit requirements, and cross-functional coordination while developing an understanding of Finance's role in supporting business decisions.

Requirements

• Final-year student or fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools; ability to work with spreadsheets and financial data is preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy when handling financial documents.
• Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn in a fast-paced working environment.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive financial information.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and execution of internal and external audit processes, including collecting and organizing required documents.
• Assist in preparing audit supporting documents, schedules, reconciliations, and other financial records requested during the audit process.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized financial documentation and accounting records to ensure audit readiness and proper document traceability.
• Support the Finance & Accounting team in data checking, reconciliation, and basic financial analysis.
• Assist in tracking audit requests, outstanding documents, and follow-up actions to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to collect supporting documents and clarify information required for audit purposes.
