About the Company
Our client is a leading Japanese food manufacturing company currently expanding its operations in Indonesia. They are seeking an experienced and hands-on professional to lead accounting and general affairs functions while supporting the company's growth and operational excellence.
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accounting & General Affairs Manager / Assistant Manager / Supervisor to oversee the full spectrum of accounting, finance administration, payroll, taxation, and general affairs activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, financial accuracy, and smooth back-office operations while coordinating with local stakeholders and, where required, the Japanese headquarters.
This position will supervise one subordinate who is also responsible for manufacturing administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Handle daily accounting transactions, including:
- Voucher and data entry
- Journal entries
- General ledger maintenance
- Trial balance preparation
- Accounts reconciliation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing reports.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian accounting standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and relevant authorities as required.
Taxation
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filing and compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
- Handle corporate tax, withholding tax, and employee income tax matters.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external tax advisors when necessary.
Payroll & Compensation Administration
- Manage monthly payroll calculation and processing.
- Administer BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan programs.
- Calculate and administer employee income tax (PPh 21).
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with applicable labor regulations.
General Affairs & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day general affairs and office administration activities.
- Support facility, vendor, and asset management functions.
- Maintain company licenses, permits, and administrative documentation.
- Coordinate internal administrative processes to support manufacturing operations.
HR Administration (Preferred)
- Support HR administrative matters such as employee documentation and attendance management.
- Assist with employee-related administrative processes when required.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare management reports and operational updates.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and management.
- Coordinate with Japanese headquarters when required.
- Support company expansion projects, including factory setup activities, if applicable.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Business-level English proficiency.
- Japanese language skills will be a strong advantage.
- Experience working in a Japanese manufacturing company.
- Strong accounting and financial management capabilities.
Technical Requirements
- Solid experience handling the complete accounting cycle.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Financial reporting
- General ledger management
- Financial closing processes
- Financial analysis
- Payroll administration
- Indonesian taxation regulations
- Experience preparing monthly and annual tax reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience using Accurate Accounting Software is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following backgrounds will be highly regarded:
- Experience in the food processing or food manufacturing industry.
- Experience supporting the setup of a new factory or manufacturing facility.
- Experience reporting to and coordinating with Japanese headquarters.
- Exposure to HR and General Affairs functions.
- Japanese language proficiency.
