Client Overview

The company provides integrated mining solutions covering mine planning, mining operations, logistics support, infrastructure development, production management, and mine rehabilitation services. With operations supporting large-scale mineral projects, the organization plays a critical role in enabling efficient resource extraction while maintaining operational reliability, financial discipline, and regulatory compliance.

The company continues to expand its footprint across multiple mining regions and project sites, requiring strong financial governance to support complex operational activities, high-volume transactions, capital-intensive assets, and project-based cost structures. As part of its growth strategy, the organization is seeking experienced finance professionals who can strengthen financial controls, improve reporting accuracy, optimize cash flow management, and support sustainable business performance across geographically dispersed operations.

Job Role

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, operational stakeholders, project teams, auditors, and external partners to manage accounting processes, monitor project profitability, optimize financial controls, and support strategic financial planning. This position is highly suitable for finance leaders with strong experience in mining contractors, heavy industries, engineering services, infrastructure projects, or other asset-intensive operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounting cycle, including general ledger management, reconciliations, month-end closing, year-end closing, and financial reporting activities.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial regulations, taxation requirements, and internal corporate governance policies.
  • Monitor project expenditures, operational costs, asset utilization, and budget performance to identify cost optimization opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
  • Analyze cost structures, equipment-related expenses, depreciation schedules, maintenance provisions, and project-level financial performance.
  • Manage treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring, working capital management, payment controls, and funding requirements across operational sites.
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability in financial transactions and reporting processes.
  • Lead external audit engagements and coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders.
  • Review and oversee tax reporting, tax compliance, and statutory filing activities while minimizing compliance risks.
  • Support senior management with financial analysis, business planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives related to operational and corporate growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, Ak., or equivalent qualifications are highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Control, Audit, or related financial management functions.
  • Proven experience within Mining Contractors, Mining Operations, Heavy Equipment, Engineering Services, Infrastructure Development, Industrial Contracting, or other asset-intensive industries.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger management, cost accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial controls.
  • Experience managing project-based financial reporting, operational expenditure monitoring, and capital expenditure tracking.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation regulations, audit processes, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Experience leading external audits and coordinating with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and financial decision-making capability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
