The Opportunity
The Accountant Plant is responsible for processing Asset Finance Administration and General Accounting transactions across all Thiess Regions, in accordance with the agreed Capability Hub functions.
As the Accountant Plant, you will:
- Process daily Asset Finance Administration and Accounting transactions across all Thiess Regions.
- Administer and maintain JDE Unit Set Up for all Thiess Regions.
- Process asset capitalization and disposal transactions, including region-specific arrangements.
- Review and process Rate Variation Notices (RVN).
- Maintain and manage asset documentation in both hardcopy and electronic formats.
- Administer lease accounting and lease-related processes.
- Perform Time Entry Integrity checks and SMU reconciliation, including issue resolution and corrections.
- Review and process asset movement transactions.
- Review and correct asset operating and overhead cost allocations.
- Process Old Core Buyback transactions and perform reconciliations.
- Review and monitor Goods in Transit (GIT).
- Prepare and process asset-related journal entries.
- Support month-end asset closing activities across all Thiess Regions.
- Prepare month-end asset reports, journals, and accruals.
- Review and coordinate the annual asset stocktake process.
- Support the America Region with labour accruals and journal reallocations for both asset and operational costs.
- Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and reconcile intercompany transactions.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with minimum 3 years of related working experience
- Has experience in Finance & Accounting System
- Good analytical capabilities
- Good understanding JDE Oracle system
- Have initiative in completion of tasks
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Advance user Microsoft office
- Understand Plant Accounting
- Good English communication skill
