Work you'll do

Deloitte Consulting's Financial Services industry group strives to support clients in addressing the challenges that impact today's industry. Our member firm's global network engages with clients to refine their business models through innovative practices, improved processes and enabling information technologies.

This role will see you engage directly with high profile banking clients. The primary area of focus for the role is to support the Business Development Opportunities and implementation of the firm's strategy by delivering the following:

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and client satisfaction by identifying, nurturing, scaling and maintaining propositions
  • Conduct research to identify new markets/propositions to meet client needs
  • Arrange, host, facilitate and follow up business meetings with prospective clients and FSI partners
  • Promote Deloitte's services and capabilities to develop joint propositions
  • Prepare Alliance Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Master Services Schedules and other contracts including Statements of Work to ensuring adherence to Deloitte Governance standards and regulatory compliance
  • Track sales, revenue, opportunities using Deloitte approved systems and tools

In this role you will:

  • Lead business development activities for the Financial Services Industry segment of Deloitte Consulting SEA
  • Ensure effective follow up on activities, and demonstration of ROI
  • Support the pursuit process for opportunities along with Financial Services Industry Partners
  • Work with respective teams to deliver maximum value to the business including in collaborating to support, drive and deliver joint proposition campaigns where required
  • Attend key conferences, events and product launches to ensure relationships are nurtured, maintained and developed whilst keeping up-to-date with the products and services of our Alliance Partners
  • Ensure the messages and learnings from client feedback are shared and acted upon to help increase opportunity conversion and client satisfaction
  • Provide expert advice on the most appropriate approach, content and channel mix to deliver propositions and Alliance activity

You are someone with:

Financial Services Industry Expertise

  • Tertiary qualification in a technology or business discipline with a well ranked institution.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in Account Management within consulting firms, or Solution Integrators supporting Financial Services clientele
  • Understand in targeting and towards opportunity management with the ability to contribute and implement both strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Banking experience, especially conversant in large banking transformation

Business Development

  • Opportunity Management

    • Familiar working with Business Development Targets and Delivery Excellence
    • RFI /RfP Process, Solution Designing, Budgeting and Account Planning
    • Capability to swim and dive into large clients to establish new or strengthen relationships
    • Good sales track records (not on license fees but on professional fees/consulting works)
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams with both internal and external vendors where need be
    • Spot leads, qualify with team, closely track and progress the opportunities

  • Delivery Management

    • Sound in Delivery Excellence - Project Management, Manage Project Team, Project P&L
    • Provide subject matter expertise in industry trends, regulations, and best practices to guide clients in making informed
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory changes affecting the insurance industry to provide proactive advice to clients

It would be great if you have:

  • An appreciation of the consulting lifestyle and ability to travel (both locally and abroad) is a pre-requisite to fit to our short-term and long-term project assignment
  • A sound business understanding as well as being commercially and risk aware
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills in English, be self-motivated, and be able to work in stressful situations with changing priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think out-of-the-box, work under pressure and tight project timelines
  • Drive, tenacity, client focused, and results oriented
  • Proven demonstration of sound business acumen, teamwork, and leadership qualities.
  • Willingness to work outside of office base and most of all
