Job Role
Our client is seeking a senior-level professional (Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Director) to play a pivotal role in advancing Indonesia's digital future. The client has pledged support for the nation's 2045 Vision, focusing on ICT infrastructure, rural and remote connectivity, and its I DO mission: driving sustainable technology, talent capacity-building, and long-term public–private partnerships.
Education
As Account Director – Government, you will lead strategic engagements with Indonesia's key public sector stakeholders, across ministries, police, military, and public educational institutions. You will:
- Own and drive end-to-end account strategies, from opportunity development to bid management, deal closure, and post-sales performance.
- Align the company's ICT portfolio (networking, wireless, storage, smart collaboration) with the government's digital transformation priorities.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with high-level decision-makers, including Deputy Ministers, Directors General, Secretaries General, and senior expert staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Business & Growth Leadership
- Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and strategic account development across government and public sector clients.
- Shape business opportunities in key verticals, defence, transportation, energy, and education, aligning with national digital transformation priorities.
- Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline insights, and market intelligence to support executive decision-making.
- Market Development & Strategy
- Lead the development of a robust public sector pipeline, overseeing the full sales cycle from opportunity creation to contract execution and beyond.
- Monitor market shifts, policy directions, and competitive dynamics, translating insights into winning go-to-market strategies.
- Position the company as a trusted partner in advancing Indonesia's digital ecosystem.
- Executive Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and sustain relationships with Deputy Ministers, Directors General, Secretaries General, and senior advisors across ministries and public agencies.
- Act as a strategic advisor, understanding government priorities, anticipating future needs, and shaping solutions that create long-term value.
- Strengthen trust through thought leadership, proactive engagement, and solution co-creation.
- Project Leadership
- Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with product, pre-sales, delivery, and external partners to ensure successful outcomes.
- Guide high-impact projects from bid stage through delivery, ensuring alignment with government procurement standards and performance expectations.
- Champion operational excellence, risk management, and post-project customer satisfaction.
- Solution Advocacy
- Promote the company's full ICT portfolio, including advanced networking, wireless, fiber, storage, cloud collaboration, and smart technologies, tailored to government and public sector needs.
- Articulate the company's value proposition at both strategic and technical levels, influencing decision-makers and shaping national-scale initiatives.
- Position the solutions not just as products, but as enablers of Indonesia's long-term digital transformation goals.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: At least Bachelor Degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Business Management, or other related disciplines.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT or telecommunications companies, with at least 5 years in a sales-focused role managing public sector and/or state-owned enterprises.
- Industry Expertise:
- Has existing networks or past experience engaging with government clients, particularly ministries, police and military, public educational institutions, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with high-level and senior stakeholders within government or regulated sectors.
- Familiarity with public procurement, bidding processes, and long-cycle project operations.
- Product Expertise:
- Experience selling ICT infrastructure solutions.
- Understanding of enterprise sales cycles, government ICT planning, and solution-based selling.
- Language: English (professional fluency in spoken and written).
- Professional Qualities:
- Target-driven, with strong project ownership and sales accountability.
- Strong interpersonal and customer engagement skills; able to build trust with key government clients.
- Quick learner, team player, and able to work independently under pressure.
