The Position

We are seeking an experienced Arts & Design academic and creative practitioner to provide academic leadership for our Pearson BTEC Higher National programmes in Fashion and Graphic Design.

As Academic Coordinator / BTEC Programme Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective academic delivery and development of the programmes, including programme planning, teaching and assessment standards, academic quality, student progress, and coordination of the academic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the academic delivery of the Fashion and Graphic Design programmes.
• Oversee programme planning, teaching, assessment, and academic quality processes.
• Coordinate and support lecturers and assessors to maintain consistent academic standards.
• Monitor student progress, achievement, engagement, and portfolio development.
• Promote high-quality studio-based, project-based, and practice-led learning.
• Ensure curriculum delivery remains relevant to contemporary creative-industry practice.
• Develop industry engagement through live projects, guest practitioners, competitions, exhibitions, and student showcases.
• Lead programme review and contribute to continuous academic improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, Art & Design, or a closely related discipline.
• Relevant academic and/or professional experience in the creative industries.
• Experience in teaching, programme coordination, assessment, or academic leadership.
• Strong understanding of studio-based, project-based, and portfolio-driven education.
• Previous Pearson BTEC experience is highly desirable but not essential.
• Candidates new to BTEC should demonstrate the ability and commitment to learn and implement Pearson BTEC academic and quality standards.
• Strong leadership, organisational, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Professional proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
