Job Role

The Executive Contract Manager – Telecom & ICT is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for leading complex, high-value contract negotiations within the telecommunications and ICT sector.

Acting as the chief commercial negotiator, you will take ownership of major sales contracts and strategic project agreements, ensuring commercial terms align with business objectives, profitability targets, contract quality standards, and legal risk requirements.

The role serves as a key bridge between internal leadership and customer executives, including CEOs, CFOs, and CTOs, particularly in resolving major contractual disputes, claims, penalties, scope changes, and other commercial matters.

You will also be responsible for translating negotiation outcomes into formal contractual documentation, strengthening contract governance, identifying transaction risks, and developing negotiation capabilities across commercial, sales, and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end contract negotiations for major telecommunications, ICT, and data center projects.
Act as the primary commercial negotiator for high-value and strategically important sales contracts.
Establish and maintain direct relationships with customer CXOs, including CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, and other senior decision-makers.
Lead negotiations and resolution of contractual disputes, commercial claims, penalties, liquidated damages, scope changes, and other critical contractual matters.
Translate complex commercial negotiation outcomes, pricing agreements, risk mitigation measures, and negotiated terms into formal contractual documents.
Review and structure contractual terms to ensure commercial objectives, legal requirements, financial interests, and operational considerations are properly addressed.
Identify contractual risks, non-standard terms, liability exposures, and potential fulfillment bottlenecks before contract execution.
Ensure contract documentation complies with applicable local laws, regulatory requirements, and internal contract governance standards.
Support contract quality governance and risk management across the local business operation.
Provide risk disclosures and recommend appropriate safeguards for complex or non-standard contractual arrangements.
Work closely with sales, finance, legal, project delivery, procurement, and senior management teams on contract-related matters.
Develop and deliver contract negotiation training for commercial, sales, and project delivery teams.
Share best practices and lessons learned from major project negotiations, claim settlements, and dispute resolution.
Drive continuous improvement of contract management processes and negotiation capabilities.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or above in International Trade, International Finance, International Economic Law, International Project Management, Business, Law, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in commercial contract management, legal affairs, contract negotiation, or commercial management for large-scale and complex projects.
Direct experience in the Telecommunications, ICT, or technology infrastructure industry is strongly preferred.
Experience in EPC, engineering, infrastructure, or other complex project-based industries is required.
Proven track record as a senior or chief negotiator with the ability to independently manage end-to-end commercial contract negotiations.
Strong understanding of commercial, financial, business, and contractual principles.
Familiarity with international contract frameworks and industry-standard agreements, including FIDIC or similar contractual frameworks.
Demonstrated experience handling complex contract disputes, commercial claims, liquidated damages, penalties, and contract modifications.
Strong ability to assess contractual risks and develop appropriate commercial and legal risk mitigation strategies.
Ability to translate commercial negotiation outcomes into clear, enforceable contractual documentation.
Strong executive presence and confidence in negotiating directly with senior customer stakeholders and CXOs.
Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial judgment and ability to balance business objectives with contractual and legal risk considerations.
Experience delivering negotiation training or developing contract management capabilities is an advantage.
Professional-level English proficiency, both written and spoken, with the ability to draft, negotiate, and finalize complex commercial agreements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
