About the Role

We are looking for a senior Key Account Sales Manager to lead strategic key account development in Indonesia, based in Jakarta. This role focuses on selling DCS and process control systems to oil & gas downstream, refining and petrochemical customers, managing large, complex, long-cycle industrial automation projects. The position requires strong local customer relationships, deep understanding of process industry automation, and proven experience in high-value project sales.

Responsibilities

Key Account & Strategic Sales
Develop and manage key accounts in Indonesia, with primary focus on:
Oil & gas downstream (refineries, refining & petrochemical complexes)
Petrochemical and chemical plants
Metallurgy and other large process industries
Drive sales of DCS, process control systems and integrated automation solutions.
Project & Solution Sales
Lead large-scale, project-based sales cycles, including opportunity identification, technical solution alignment, bidding, negotiation and contract closure.
Work closely with pre-sales, engineering and HQ teams to deliver customized DCS and automation solutions.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with:
End-users (refineries, petrochemical operators)
EPC companies
Industry stakeholders and strategic partners
Leverage existing local oil & gas / refining customer networks.
Market & Strategy
Monitor Indonesia's oil & gas downstream, refining and petrochemical market trends.
Track competitor landscape (e.g. Emerson, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Siemens, ABB).
Provide strategic input to regional management on market entry and growth strategies.

Qualifications

5–10 years of sales experience, with strong preference for 10+ years.
Mandatory background in process industry / industrial automation sales.
Proven experience selling DCS, control systems or process automation solutions.

Required Skills

Direct experience with customers in one of or multiple following industries:
Oil & Gas (especially downstream / refining / petrochemical)
Chemical/ Petrochemical
Metallurgy
Existing local customer resources in Indonesia are highly preferred.
Strong consultative and project-based sales skills.
Able to manage long sales cycles and complex stakeholder environments.
Solid technical understanding of DCS and process control systems.
Fluent English required.
Chinese language ability is a plus.
